NW Star Academy Wood Bat Classic Results


The lst NW Star Summer Wood bat Classic had a jammed packed weekend of highly competitive baseball by all teams represented. The perfect weather conditions set the stage for teams from the Portland/Vancouver area along with teams from Kirkland, Spokane and Olympia. Ten Teams played three games to advance to the final round of six to see who would compete for the championship at Clark C.C. on Sunday afternoon. Although all of the teams who advanced to the finals played well; in the end it was a NW Star Academy affair as the No#1 seed NW College Prep team faced off against the #2 seed NW Star Legion team. The NW Star Legion jumped out to an early 1 run advantage but the College Prep team answered and never looked back gaining a 6-1 victory and winning the tournament with a 5-0 record.
