2008 will be the 3rd year of the NW Star Academy college team. The team began in 2006 as a 19U independent before becoming a full fledge college team in 2007 while participating in the Pacfic Northwest League. The college team is formed to provide an organized, first class, and competitive avenue for college players to play during the summer. The schedule consists of about 30-35 games all locally against other college teams and combined legion teams. We will also play in at least one tournament as well as a post season league tournament. The roster is formed with players who have college eligibility remaining at any level of college. The majority of the roster is filled with 2 year community college players, but it is open to NCAA athletes. The team begins play on June 3rd and a few roster spots still remain.
