The 2008 Northwest Invitational will be held July 30 - August 3 at Clackamas CC and West Linn HS. The tournament will feature 6 of the top teams in the Northwest. It is a 6 game guarantee tournament over 5 days. All games are metal bat, 7 innings, and played with 2 hour time limits. In the event of a tie in pool play, up to 2 extra innings can be played. After 2 innings, the game ends in a tie. Speed up rules will be used to ensure quick play. NW Star Academy will always be in 3rd base dugout.

Championship, single elimination bracket play will begin on Saturday August 2nd and end with the championship game on Sunday August 3rd. The brackets will be posted during the Home Run Derby on Friday night. All 6 teams make the championship bracket with the number 1 overall seed getting a bye into the semi-finals on Sunday. The 6 teams will be ranked in this order after pool play is complete: 1) Overall Record, 2) Total Runs Against, 3) Total Runs Scored, 4) Coin Flip (2 out of 3). The top 2 teams after pool play will receive a bye into semi final round. All championship bracket games are 7 inning with no time limit. Ties will be played out till there is a winner.
