Perfect weather conditions set the stage for another great day of
Apple Cup Championship baseball. All 6 teams represented well with
exciting, Varsity baseball.
The crack of the wood bats and pop of the catcher's glove were the sounds of the day as it came down to the 5 and 6 seeds for the championship game.
In the end, Mound Time Green overtook Oregon Select with great pitching, solid defense and timely hitting to repeat as Apple Cup Champions.
Congratulations to Mound Time Green, 2011 Apple Cup Varsity Champions.

Thanks to all who participated in the 2011 Apple Cup Junior league. All those involved should be commended for their patience and professionalism as we endured an extremely wet fall season.
Fortunately championship day at Heritage High School was dry; there was even a sun sighting or two. Mound Time 1 won game 1 by a slim margin, earning them the fourth seed in the tournament, matching them up against rival Mound Time 4.
Showtime Blue beat Heritage in a seesaw battle, won in the late innings. Meanwhile, Mound Time 4 beat Mound Time 1 by a score of 12-2 to set the championship game.
Game time started at 2:15 pm with the sun shining down on all who were in attendence. Mound Time 4 started the game with an early rally and never looked back, defeating Showtime Blue 13-3.
Congratulations to Mount Time 4 for an excellent championship season.
We would like to give special thanks to the fans from all the teams who participated, and to Sharlene and Ron Mason of McG’s BB2Go for supplying delicious food for all. They are becoming a staple at NW Star events.
